Welcome to the Cabins by the River, conveniently located in the Town of Athabasca on the banks of the majestic Athabasca River.  Enjoy a country setting within walking distance of downtown or relax by the fire pit and view the river.

We have two natural log cabins with a queen bed and a sofa that converts into a double bed, a large bathroom with a shower.  The cabins are equipped with a small fridge, microwave, coffee pot and satellite TV.  A BBQ and a fire pit are available for all to use.

We are close to numerous lakes for those who wish to part take in water sports or are fishing enthusiasts.  Golf enthusiasts may wish to challenge Athabasca’s famous golf course.

The Town hosts the well known Magnificent River Rats Canada festival.

Our location is near the Muskeg Creek/University multi-use non-motorized trails system, which is great to walk or bike on during the summer with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months.  

The fall offers some of the best hunting areas in the province with many trophy animals taken in recent years.  Or you may prefer to take pictures of the abundant wildlife.

For those who enjoy snowmobiling, you can jump on your machine right from the door of one of our cabins and hit the riverside trails for a thrill. The Athabasca River Runners Snowmobile Club Clubhouse is a short distance to the West. Another activity offered near by during the winter is dog-sledding.

Rates - $110 per night plus GST, weekly rates are available.
